Meet Annette Addo-Yobo

Annette Addo-Yobo has a master’s in business administration. A student at Lamar University’s College of Business. She will be an incoming law student at South Texas College of Law 2025 and is the first immigrant born and Ghanaian Miss Texas .She was named the First Runner Up at the 2025 Miss America Pageant on January 5, 2025. Her platform underscores the importance of autism safety in the context of autism awareness after an incident involving her younger autistic brother.

Since then, she has been a community and legislative advocate working with nationally recognized organizations including Autism Speaks, the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and the Organization for Autism Research.
